Transcript Format

From the Judicial Council of Georgia Court Reporters' Fee Schedule, 4.A., Rules 67 to 74 of the Supreme Court of Georgia, and Rules 17 to 21 of the Court of Appeals of Georgia. 

TYPE OF PAPER

Fifteen pound bond or heavier.

MARGINS

Question and answer indentation margins shall be five (5) spaces on the first line and no indention for the following lines.

Colloquy indentation margins shall be ten (10) spaces for the first line and five spaces on the following lines.

PAGE NUMBERING

To be printed at the bottom right of each page.

LINES PER PAGE

Twenty-five (25) lines per page.

CHARACTERS PER LINES

Sixty-three (63) available spaces per line.

COVER PAGE

Each transcript, or separately bound portion thereof, shall have a separate cover page.  Each cover page shall include the heading of the case, the name of the presiding judge, whether there was a jury, the attorneys present, the date of the proceedings, and whether the transcript is a complete entity or one of several parts. 

INDEX PAGE

Each index should include the names of the witnesses and the page number where their testimony begins on direct, cross, redirect, and recross examination; a list of exhibits introduced by each party; the number of the page on which the charge of the Court begins; and any further information necessary to clearly index the transcript.
